PERFECT Logistics & Distribution Centre has absolute taken over the manual conventional handling of goods in the past years to a state of the art, highly comprehensive Automated Storage and Retrieving Systems (ASRS).

ASRS fully automates the task of storage and retrieving process in the PERFECT Logistics & Distribution Centre . The system begins from receiving of finished goods from various production lines, palletizing, storage and dispatching.

The automated handling processes include the following:

Receiving, sorting and storage:

An elevated conveyor system isextended directly from the various production floors for receiving products; products are then sorted through an automated system according to the barcodes; then moved to the palletizing dock and later storage area.

ASRS solution provides efficient use of space by essentially high racking and narrow aisle layout – it allows products to be stacked in a higher density build-up area compared to a conventional storage warehouse. So we can store up much more within the same space available.

Storage and shipping:

The automated system includes different conveyor lanes same with receiving, the auto-identification system is made up of ‘ID Barcodes' attached to products/ cases which consists the data of different product names and categories. The complex system includes in-line scanners that read the information of products from barcodes and divert them into different conveyor lanes for receiving storage or shipping-out.

The ‘stacker crane' can collect and transport pallets of products from the receiving dock to the storage rack according to the predetermined addresses set in the racking system. The alarm will be triggered whenever the crane is overloaded or any empty boxes/ cases in handling.

The system will record and compile all the time and location of stock-in; and during roll-out or shipping out of inventory, the distribution system will operate according to ‘First-In-First-Out'(FIFO) practice.

When a pallet is picked by the stacker crane from the rack, it will be delivered to the autoliner station. The autoliner will send the pallet directly to the shipping dock. The product will be conveyed into trucks according to its destination.
