In the past
10 years, PERFECT
had been actively participating
in blood donations and environmental
care activities across the
nation. It has donated generously
to more than 180 social
and community welfares such
as the HOPE Project, Flood
Disaster Relief, Care for
Western Provinces, Nationalism
and Support the Army, Respect
the Elderly and Care for
the Youth, Sport and Hygiene,
Culture and Art, Medical
etc., total donation todate amounts
to RMB$600 Million.
In the HOPE Project particularly,
Dato Koo’s aspiration
is to build 100 HOPE Primary
Schools at the needy provinces.
Currently, PERFECT
has already built 30 HOPE
Primary Schools, with the
aspiration to brighten up
the future of the younger
generation. This project
will benefit the nation
in the long term.
On 11 February 2004, Guangdong
Province “HOPE Project
Public Student Fund”
was formed, PERFECT
donated RMB$30 Millions
to this course. During the
celebration of 30th Anniversary
Diplomatic Relations between
China and Malaysia on 2
June 2004 at Guangdong Tien
He Sport Centre and 6 June
2004 at The Great Hall of
the People, Beijing, PERFECT
donated another
RMB$62 Millions to the fund.
Dato Koo was awarded “HOPE
Project Contribution Award”
on his outstanding contribution
to the community.
Since 1997, PERFECT
has been participating in
“Charity Walks”
which are held every years
on the 15th of the Chinese
Lunar New Year. So far the
accumulated donation to
the Red Cross is RMB$100
Million.
In the “12-23”
gas leakage incident at
ChongQing City, Northeast
of Kai Xian Chuan, PERFECT
donated RMB23 Million to the
affected people. According
to the official report from
Kai Xian Chuan, this is
the biggest donation they
had received. During the
Yangtze Jiang flood disaster,
PERFECT
also extended its helping
hand to the affected people
by donating up to RMB$ 53.6
Million in form of money
and aids.
To commend the generosity
and benevolence of PERFECT,
the China Red Cross Society
awarded Dato Koo the “National
Flood Disaster Relief Advanced
Individual”
award.
